Transmission 1.0 Released

The Transmission Project has announced the availability of Transmission 1.0, a major release of its open-source BitTorrent client. According to the developers, the new version is totally compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. It also features a new "Leopard-like" user interface and updated icon. Other notable features and bug fixes include:
Port forwarding now performed by MiniUPnP and libnatpmp

Ability to set global and per-torrent number of connections

Option to prefer not using encryption

PEX is now configured globally

Group labeling, filtering, and sorting

Statistics window

Pieces Bar (return of Advanced Bar)

Display "not available" overlay on the regular bar

Display remaining time for seeding transfers

Sort by total activity

Connectable from the Clutch web interface

Leopard: Time Machine will ignore incomplete downloads

Leopard: Fix bug where text fields would reject localized decimal values

Leopard: Fix bug where bandwidth rates chosen from the action menu would not apply the first time
Transmission 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later, but 10.5 or later is strongly recommended. The download weighs in at 2.3MB.
