Seagate has introduced its Maxtor OneTouch 4 line of external hard disk drives. According to the company, "The Maxtor OneTouch 4 family sports a new industrial design that conveys security and an enhanced interface to provide a new level of consistency and ease of use. The new high-capacity Maxtor OneTouch 4 family is visually reassuring with its aesthetically appealing vault-like appearance that compliments any home or office setting. Reinforcing Seagate's commitment to providing durable and innovative storage solutions, these good looking reliable data protectors feature improved acoustics, optimized convection cooling systems, and an inner disc drive casing and shock mounts for additional drive protection."

The Maxtor OneTouch 4 lineup includes the OneTouch 4, OneTouch 4 Plus and OneTouch 4 Mini. The standard OneTouch 4 hard drive is available in capacities of 250GB, 500GB, and 750GB, ranging in price from $100 to $270. The OneTouch 4 Plus comes in 250GB, 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB capacities, ranging from $130 to $360. And the OneTouch 4 Mini comes in 80GB, 120GB, and 160GB capacities, from $100 to $150. The Maxtor OneTouch 4 family is available now - with the exception of the 1TB OneTouch 4 Plus. It will ship in late October.
