Posted by: Charles

The Shiira Project has announced the release of Shiira 2.0, an open source web browser based on Web Kit and written in Cocoa. The goal of the Shiira Project is to create a browser that is "better and more useful than Safari". The complete change log for Shiira 2.0 hasn't been posted yet, but some of the new features include an enhanced user interface, PageDock, HUD Panels, Shelf, and Full Screen Mode. Shiira 2.0 is a Universal build (PowerPC and Intel), and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
