News Apple Releases iChat Update 1.0 Thursday, January 4, 2007 - 6:54 PM EST Posted by: Brian Apple has released iChat Update 1.0 via Mac OS X's Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the company, this update renews the .Mac certificate required by iChat for encrypting text, audio, and video conferences. Apple also notes that more information will be posted as it becomes available. The update for Intel-based Macs can be found here (3.9MB). The update for PPC-based Macs can be found here (2.3MB).
