Apple to release iTV in Q1 2007

Apple today announced that it plans to launch a new product called iTV, a device that attaches to a television and can wirelessly receive and play digital content from any computer running iTunes software. iTV will be controllable with the Apple Remote and features a built-in power supply, USB 2.0 port, Ethernet port, 802.11 wireless connectivity, optical audio, RCA stereo audio jacks, component video, and HDMI port. The new device will be available in the first quarter of 2007, with a suggested retail price of $299.
