Mac Mini News Apple Releases SuperDrive Firmware Update v2.0 Wednesday, May 31, 2006 3:31 PM EST Apple has released the SuperDrive Firmware Update v2.0 for PPC-based Mac minis with a SuperDrive. The update fixes burning speeds when writing to certain recordable DVD media. It requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, and is offered as a one-click installation. You should not reset, shut down, or turn off power to your Mac mini while updating the firmware. Doing so may damage your SuperDrive. If you cannot update the firmware using this program, Apple suggests that you contact your local Apple Authorized Service Provider or an Apple Store retail location.
