Mac Mini News Mac mini SE/30 Mod Wednesday February 1, 2006 1:18 AM EST What do you get when you mix an old classic Mac with the Mac mini? You get the Mac mini SE/30 mod. We had a hard time translating some of the information, but it looks like the Mac mini and power adapter are sitting in the bottom of the SE/30 where the motherboard and floppy drive were installed. The back of the SE/30 has been modded to include a custom-made power button and USB ports for the Mac mini. They also cut a hole in the back of the SE/30 for the Mac mini's power cable to pass through. The Mac mini is connected to the SE/30's 9" black and white screen with VGA for video. What about the optical drive? They were able to cut open one of the SE/30's front vents to access the drive. It's pretty cool seeing a Tiger DVD coming out of the front.
