Mac Mini News GenieCommands turns Mac mini into Media Center Friday December 2, 2005 8:09 AM EST GenieCommands is a new programmable software application that allows users to control all of their applications and media via simple menus, in a theatre or lounge room environment. According to the company, "The convergence of Music, Video, TV, Internet and Geniecommands software creates the ultimate entertainment system for the whole family. This is a relatively new area for computers and has been spurred on by the release of smaller lower powered and cheaper computers like the Mac Mini to suit this need." The Geniecommands project took shape earlier this year after collaboration with a group of media specialists. The original pilot application was called MenuRemote v1.0. which was never released.
