Matias introduces USB 2.0 Keyboard
Saturday September 17, 2005 5:30 AM EST
Matias has introduced its USB 2.0 Keyboard, a hybrid keyboard and USB 2.0 dock for connecting high-speed peripherals. In addition to the dock, the keyboard also has a conventional 2-port USB hub located on the back, for plugging in your mouse, joystick, and other USB devices. According to the company, the USB 2.0 Keyboard is ideal for the Mac mini. "Mac users have been plugging USB cables into their keyboards for years, but many newer devices require the higher speed of USB 2.0," said Vesna Vojnic, Marketing Director for Matias. "iPods, USB flash drives, and newer digital cameras can take forever to transfer files if you don't have USB 2.0."
The Matias USB 2.0 Keyboard costs $39.95, and is available for both PC and Mac. The US keyboard is available now. UK, French and German models are coming in October.
Matias also offers a keyboard and optical mouse bundle for $49.95. The 2-button mouse has a scroll wheel for quick, smooth scrolling through documents and web pages, and a precision optical sensor for accurate tracking.
