Iomega MiniMax for Mac mini
Thursday August 18, 2005 5:46 PM EST
Iomega International S.A has launched the Iomega MiniMax Desktop Hard Drive, a Hi-Speed Dual connectivity (USB 2.0 and Firewire) external device designed to compliment the form factor of the Mac mini and boost its storage capacity by up to 250GB.
"Iomega's MiniMax Drive has been designed to appeal to a wide range of data storage demands," said Walter Grinberg, Product Manager, Iomega International S.A. "Not only does our drive perfectly compliment the Mac mini but with the inclusion of multiple USB and Firewire ports it becomes a Mac hub allowing multiple users to manage, organise and protect digital movies, photography and music."
The MiniMax HDD comes with Dantz Retrospect and Iomega Automatic Backup Pro software for hassle-free backups and data recovery.
There will be two versions available for Europe in September. A 160Gb drive costing £149 and a 250Gb drive costing £199. We don't know if Iomega will offer MiniMax in the United States at this time.
