CNET has posted a review of the entry-level 2014 Mac mini. This review makes positive notes of the 2014 Mac mini's connectivity options, build quality, overall performance, and lower price. But like other reviews, it goes on to state their disappointment with the lack of user upgradeable RAM and quad-core CPU options. The review also some has benchmark scores, that are worth a look, comparing the 2014 Mac mini to other entry-level Macs and small form factor Windows-based systems from Alienware and HP.

"The 2014 update to the Mac Mini may not be the high-end makeover hobbyists and power users were hoping for, but it's still the least expensive way to get an OS X computer, even if there are some strings attached."

CNET gives the 2014 Mac mini a score of four out of five stars. This is the same score they gave the 2012 Mac mini.
