iFixit Posts Teardowns of Haswell-Based iMacs

Our friends over at iFixit have posted teardowns of the new 21.5-inch and 27-inch Haswell-based iMacs. The teardowns show both machines having an unused PCIe SSD slot, upgradeable RAM, Broadcom BCM4360 802.11ac transceivers, and slimmer CPU heat sinks. The fun sort of ends there for the 21.5-inch iMac though. It now has a CPU that is soldered directly onto the logic board, making upgrades impossible. And that translates into a low repairability score of 2 out of 10. But don't let that ruin your day. Head on over and check both teardowns out. They provide an excellent look inside these machines.
