Mac Mini hooked up to 7-inch LCD Touchscreen
Thursday February 24, 2005
Our friends over at HTmini have pointed us to an interesting story. A Mac mini enthusiast has hooked his Mac mini up to a 7-inch LCD touchscreen. 3Weiher.ch, a german website, shows the 7-inch touchscreen sitting on top of a Mac mini running OS X. The enthusiast hopes to use his Mac mini setup for a "high tech stereo system" and is shown controlling iTunes with his finger. Here's a link for the 7-inch LCD Touchscreen Kit (approx. $350). This setup continues to show us how Mac mini enthusiasts and the Mac mini's small form factor will take it beyond the desktop.
Translation form Website:
"Today my 7 inch widescreen touchscreen arrived. The part is actually meant to be built into a car. With ulterior motives, I ordered it to attach to my Mac mini and to use it as a “high tech” stereo system, controlled without keyboard and mouse, only the screen. The display has great contrast and the colors are brilliant. It has a maximum resolution of 800X480."
