Macworld posted a review of the new 2011 Mac minis on their website today. And they really seem to like the new systems, calling them serious performers. They also were excited about the addition of a Thunderbolt port and the lower price point of the entry-level model. The new Mac minis also did well in their graphics testing and proved to be just as energy efficient as the previous generation. In fact, the 2.5GHz model with its discrete graphics benchmarked out to be twice as fast and still only used 13W of power when idle. The review isn't all rosy though. They do come down a little on the new Mac minis for lacking an optical drive, saying that it makes the new systems a little less versatile than the previous generation. But overall, that didn't hold them back from being positive.
Macworld gave both of the new Mac minis four out of five mice. So, head on over and check out the rest of the review on their website. It's probably the most detailed and thorough review out there.
