New Mac Mini Benchmarks and Unboxings
Thursday, July 21, 2011 - 6:23 PM EST

The folks over at Macminicolo have posted up some Geekbench scores of the new Mac minis released yesterday. The new systems are said to be "screamers". The entry-level 2.3GHz Mac mini, featuring the Intel Dual-Core i5 processor, showed over a 2300-point gain from the previous generation models from 2010. The new Mac mini with Lion Server, running the 2.0GHz Intel Quad-Core i7 processor, smashed those results by even more. It showed over a 5500-point gain from the same models.

The company also posted up some nice unboxing pictures on the same page. There's also a nice unboxing video from MrThaibox123 on YouTube posted down below.

[Update:] We did some testing of our own this evening on all three base models of the 2011 Mac mini. Down below are the results using Geekbench.
