Elgato has announced the release of their updated HDHomeRun tuner for HDTV. The HDHomeRun is a centralized dual-digital TV tuner that connects to your home network. It allows any computer running the included EyeTV 3 software or Windows 7 Media Center to share the device. If you have an existing Wi-Fi network, you can even stream TV wirelessly. The HDHomeRun tuner also allows Mac users to stream to an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with an extra application from the company.
"This new platform satisfies two requests that many of our customers have made: viewing of HDTV content on multiple household computers and inconspicuous placement of the device itself," said Adam Steinberg, Elgato's VP of Marketing. "HDHomeRun is designed to give our customers maximum flexibility. Whether it's Mac or PC, capturing a TV signal from either an antennae or cable or being able to view and record different content on multiple computers, HDHomeRun can accomplish it all."
The HDHomeRun tuner from Elgato is priced at $179.95.
