News Microsoft Releases Messenger for Mac 8 Beta Wednesday, March 24, 2010 - 5:12 PM EST Posted by: Kenan Microsoft today announced the release of the Messenger for Mac 8 beta. This version of the software finally brings support for making audio and video calls with Windows Live contacts. Microsoft said that it's being released as a beta though, as they are still putting "finishing touches" on the software. The final version of the software will be released alongside Office 2011 for Mac later this year. You can grab the Messenger for Mac 8 beta starting today though.
