News iPad Launching on April 3rd Friday, March 5, 2010 - 1:04 PM EST Posted by: Glenn Apple today announced that its new iPad will be available for sale in the US on Saturday, April 3rd for Wi-Fi models and in late April for Wi-Fi + 3G models. And beginning a week from today, on March 12th, US customers can pre-order both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G models from Apple's online store or reserve a Wi-Fi model to pick up on Saturday, April 3rd at an Apple retail store. The company also announced that all models of the iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK in late April. Update: 03/07/10 - Apple premiered its first commercial for the iPad tonight during the Oscars.
