News Apple Releases Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.4 Monday, January 18, 2010 - 5:16 PM EST Posted by: Glenn Apple has released Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.4 via their Software Update utility and website. According to the release notes, this update brings the following improvements to early 2009 Mac Pro computers:   Improves compatibility with virtualization products utilizing VT-d   Improves storage performance under Windows XP for Boot Camp users   Improves system reliability during the boot process Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.4 weighs in at 1.96MB and requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or Mac OS X 10.6.2 or later. Apple also released Firmware Restoration CD 1.8 for Mac Pro owners looking to restore their firmware.
