News MacUpdate Desktop 5.0 Released Thursday, October 29, 2009 - 1:53 PM EST Posted by: Glenn MacUpdate today announced the release of MacUpdate Desktop 5.0, a major update to their application that helps Mac users manage and update the software on their system. According to the company, this version of the software was completely rewritten from the ground up and leverages the latest technologies found in Mac OS X. It also includes an improved user interface, Smart scanning, One-click updating, Update verification, Watch Lists, and the ability to archive older versions of software. MacUpdate Desktop 5.0 is priced at $20 a year for five Macs and requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later. A fully functional 10-day trial is available to all users as well.
