Rogue Amoeba today announced the release of Airfoil 3.4, a major update to their popular streaming utility for the AirPort Express. The big news with this release is improved hijacking with better support for Snow Leopard. The hijacking of Safari, QuickTime, and other applications has been improved so they don't require quitting and relaunching. You can also capture audio from sub-processes, improving hijacking of applications like Google Chrome, as well as other outliers like Dashboard, where audio is now helpfully grouped into one source for simpler hijacking. Airfoil 3.4 also includes an updated Radio Tuner window for the Griffin Radioshark and numerous bug fixes, which you can read about here in the release notes.
Airfoil 3.4 is a free update for all users. For new users, Airfoil is priced at $25. System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
