News WD Intros New My Book Studio Desktop Drives Tuesday, October 6, 2009 - 1:23 PM EST Posted by: Glenn Western Digital today introduced their new My Book Studio external desktop drives for Mac users. The new drives feature a customizable front "e-label" that is always visible, even when unplugged, which allows users to see what is stored on the drive. They also come equipped with WD SmartWare software for management and a FireWire 800 interface to give users the speed they need for demanding tasks like photo and video editing and graphic design. The new My Book Studio drives are offered in capacities of 500 GB, 1 TB, 1.5 TB and 2 TB. Pricing for the line starts at $149.99.
