News Apple Releases Bluetooth and Hard Drive Firmware Updates Wednesday, August 19, 2009 - 5:50 PM EST Posted by: Glenn Apple has released the Bluetooth Firmware Update 2.0.1 via their Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the release notes, this update provides bug fixes and better compatibility with the Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse and Apple Wireless Keyboard. It installs on all Macintosh systems with Bluetooth based on the Broadcom chipset. The Bluetooth Firmware Update 2.0.1 weighs in at 1.78MB and requires Mac OS X 10.5.7 or later. Apple also released the Hard Drive Firmware Update 2.0 today. This update reduces certain infrequent noises made by 7200-rpm drives that shipped with the June 2009 MacBook Pro.
