News WD Intros 750GB and 1TB Scorpio Blue Hard Drives Monday, July 27, 2009 - 7:17 AM EST Posted by: Fran Western Digital today announced the release of their WD Scorpio Blue 750GB and 1TB 2.5-inch SATA hard drives. According to the company, both models come in the 12.5mm form factor and use 333 GB-per-platter technology to achieve the higher capacities. They also deliver high-performance with a 3 gigabits per second (Gb/s) transfer rate and feature Western Digital technologies like WhisperDrive, ShockGuard and SecurePark to enable quiet and safe operation.
