News VLC 1.0 Released Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - 11:48 AM EST Posted by: Glenn The VideoLAN team today announced the release of VLC 1.0, a major update to their popular cross-platform media player. According to the developers, this version of the software introduces many new features, formats and codecs to the VLC multimedia framework and fixes a number of bugs that were present in the 0.9.x or 0.8.6 versions.
