The new Guardian Maximus comes equipped with FireWire 800, FireWire 400, USB 2.0 and eSATA ports. It also features an improved energy efficient design with up to 40% lower power usage and data transfer speeds up to 300MB/s. The new Guardian Maximus is available in capacities from 250GB to 2TB, with prices starting at $229.99. It should also be noted that a barebones kit is available for $149.99.
