Hyperbolic Software today announced the release of Tidy Up 2.0. Tidy Up allows users to reclaim disk space being taken up by duplicate files and packages. Employing a fast search algorithm that quickly scans any mounted drive volumes (hard drives, optical discs and portable drives) without writing an index, Tidy Up locates duplicate items using a wide range of criteria including: owner application, time created or modified, name, label, extension and content. It also offers the capability to scan the databases of popular Apple applications such as iPhoto, Aperture, iTunes and Mail.
Tidy Up 2.0 introduces nearly 50 new features. Some of the highlights include:

New user interface.

New search mode called Basic Mode, which includes more than 90 pre-defined search types.

New set of criteria that allows you to search for EXIF information.

The ability to exclude from a search any of the supported applications (iTunes, iPhoto, Aperture and Mail), this allows you to individualize the items not included in their databases.

New possibility to replace the moved and trashed items with an alias or symbolic link.

New EXIF criteria for creating smart baskets.

New criteria to individualize, when creating a smart basket, the items that belong to a particular album, playlist or mailboxes.

New information displayed when a found item is selected.

New user manual.
Tidy Up 2.0 is priced at $30 and requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later. Users of Tidy Up 1.x can upgrade for $20.
