Rowmote Remote Control Application Released
Friday, January 30, 2009 - 2:57 PM EST
Posted by: Glenn
Rowmote is a new 99-cent application in the App Store that allows users to control their Mac over a wireless network with an iPhone or iPod touch. You can control applications like Front Row, DVD Player, iTunes, QuickTime and Keynote, all from an interface that looks and functions like the Apple Remote. Rowmote also features an "Apps Remote" on the backside that allows users to switch between controllable applications and toggle the iTunes visualizer. But like other remote control applications for the iPhone or iPod touch we've mentioned before, Rowmote requires a little program to be running on your Mac for everything to work. You can download the "Rowmote Helper" program over here if you're interested.
All in all, it seems to work pretty well.
