Control Front Row with DVDmote

The Remote for the iPhone and iPod touch is a great application. But, as many of you know, it will not control Front Row. Enter DVDmote from jbrink.net. It will let you control the DVD Player and Front Row from your iPhone or iPod touch. All you need to do is cough up $1.99 and download (iTunes link) the application from the App Store. You also need to download an application called DVDmoteService from the developer. It needs to be running on your Mac for the remote control to work.
I gave DVDmote a try earlier this evening. The buttons are a little cramped, but it works well otherwise. It interacts with your Mac about as fast as the Remote from Apple. That being said, navigating through menus in Front Row can be slow. You cannot scroll by holding down a button. It's one press of a button, one move. Other than that, I have no major complaints about DVDmote. It's a decent little application. I would suggest that you give it a try.
