Louididdy's Mac mini setup
|
This is my current home entertainment system setup. The Mac Mini is used for browsing the web and accessing the music and movies/tv shows on my pc via my network and is connected to the TV through the PC Video Input on the TV and to the receiver via a digital tos link cable. I only have two speakers at the moment and plan on adding more in the future, but for now, I am very pleased with my audio/video/internet options in my living room.
TV: Sony Bravia V-Series KDL-40V3000 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Receiver: Sony STR-DG910
Speakers: Boston Acoustics CS23 Satellites
Subwoofer: Infinity PS28 Powered Subwoofer
Nintendo Wii
Microsoft XBOX 360

Nice TV stand. I like the frosted glass doors.

This is it! This is exactly what I want to do. I want a MacMini with a display that can be shared by music, movies and the Wii. How did you connect the Wii?

The Wii is connected via composite cable on Video 2, which conflicts with the Mac Mini's digital output on DAudio 2, since the Xbox has component output it must use Video 1 and DAudio 1. This means that I cant run the mac and wii at the same time, but there is usually no need to do so, so I'm good.
