There's nothing behind them, they are 2 empty cabinets. I suppose you could store your DVD's but that would defeat the object of having the mini.

The unit looks like it is from the Ikea Besta range (I think). They have some great configurations for insides of these units. Gonna get something similar to act as a drinks cabinet. You can ever get pull out drawers with inserts to hold your remote controls.
