Jesper's Mac mini setup
|
I use my mini solely for listening to music and watching film. I didn't even bother to buy a keyboard for it. I'm quite happy with the setup and my cable-management.
- Mac Mini Core Duo 2, 1G RAM (it's on the bottom shelf right above the TV)
- Pioneer 427XA Plasma TV
- 250GB Lacie Porsche HD (hidden under the couch and hooked up to the airport)
- AirPort Extreme 802.11n (hidden under the couch)
- Samsung digital cable receiver (that silvery thing underneath the Mac mini)
- 2 x 40W KAM active studio monitors.
- Mighty mouse and Apple remote.

Cool shelving.

Thanks. Had them custom made. They're versatile like Tetris. Had them cover the whole wall before I got the plasma.

Did you Photoshop out the wires? Very nice!

Well...hehe, there's a small snakes nest behind the books between the mini and the left speaker.

Excellent setup, very neat. The shelves are cool. Have you thought about a mantlepiece and a fire effect screensaver?

Nice but if your shelves collapse, your display is toast.

Yup, your book shelves are VERY cool--I wouldn't even know where to begin to make something like them....Thanks for posting the photo!

About the collapsing shelves: Don't I know it! I've had them for years and nothing's happened, but when I got the plasma I freaked. I worried about the vibration from the speakers. I decided to secure the shelves right above the TV with a whole extra set of bolts. The wall is brick so it should hold.
