Does that TV stand have a built-in mount for the plasma or is it mounted on the wall?

way too HOT, did you get apple RAM or after-market?

the mount is an accessory to the stand and can be put onto the stand (which it is) or mounted on the wall. also used aftermarkete ram. Oh man, I totally forgot! Also have a lacie 250g external firewire drive (not connected here..i'm editing on another machine right now) with my entire photo, music, and favorite DVD's (ripped) to disk. all work off Front Row. It usually stands in the small space just to the left of the moto HD box.

How did you go from Mini DVI to HDMI?
intel mac mini is a full DVI so just use a DVI to HDMI cable. The signal is the same but the DVI output is video only (HDMI usually carries video & audio). But i'm using optical out for audio. tv stand and mount - http://www.omnimount.com

How are you doing the audio thru optical out? Is there an optical out on the mac mini?
yes. the intel mini's have optical out through the audio out jack. you need to have the tip adapter. they come with most optical cables or you can get the adapter only at radio shack i think. the mini will automatically detect the optical jack and switch to optical out. be sure and change the DVD player settings though to utilize the digital out. for some reason you have to do that separately.
