Have you connected via HDMI? The resolution looks pretty low?..and the black line. Does that plasma not have a VGA/ DVI link?

i have the same problem with my setup - im connected to my 40" samsung LCD using a dvi to hdmi cable - the resolution isn't correct and so i get those big ugly black lines, pain in the ass but what can you do? i've tried switchres x etc and without the rite parameters it screwed up my stuff. hopefully leopard will have a resolution fix cuz this is doing my head in. i have a pc input on my tv but ive heard the quality isn't as high using the vga/pc input as apposed to the hdmi - reason why i spent 70 quid on the cable! can anyone help? nice setup btw - altho stick the tv up a bit higher of the desk maybe?

Well, the black lines are from the plasma itself. And it's a SD plasma connected through VGA

are those speakers really worth the price??
davidgilmour [Jun 24, 2007 at 02:20 AM]
yes, the speakers are really worth its price. I paid 280 euros for a pair but the build quality is excellent en the range is really good for such a small speaker! For those interested they are the Anthony Gallo Micro speakers.

I'm not trying to be critical of your setup (it looks fine), but why did you mount the plasma so low?
davidgilmour [Jun 29, 2007 at 06:18 PM]
Actually , the plasma is on eye level when I sit on the couch at 3 meters

YEAH.. I GOTTA SAY.. I mounted my LCD quite high in my bedroom. The tilt is fine for sitting at my desk and the resolution is perfect. Watching videos from my bed is wicked, but doing anything like video editing or emailing is not comfortable from being lower on a couch or bed ... also. Your mac mini (and please correct me if i'm wrong) will detect the correct resolution in VGA mode..whereas with HDMI it cannot do this.

Hey all Just wanted to say that you can do it very easily with Display Config X (http://www.3dexpress.de/) Did it with my 32" Samsung LCD and Sharp Projector so that they could run through a splitter for using one or the other but not needing to change the resolution every time i wanted to swap displays. It is easy enough, just look through your TV's guide for the right specs to type in. Any probs email me at jerome(at)thepearcefamily.net
