Peter's Mac mini SATA mod
Hello, this is my newest Mac Mini Dual Core Intel with 2 Gb ram. And of course, Mac Modded with a piece of a Sata to ESATA II backplate.

I've followed this MOD: http://www.artmac.info/MacMiniSATAMod.html But there is an older Sata L-connector backplate used. I've glued a L sata connector, but buyed a SATA HD Board connector, soldered an SATA L connector to it (just swing over 180 degrees). The female SAtA connector plugs right into it. The HD is swapped in an external MAC modded HD case (yeeesssss ...) with a 160 GB Sata desktop drive, with a E-sata cord length of 2 meters.

Maybe more follow.

Just ask for more details. After waiting on orders for two weeks, one full week building the Mac HD case, I'm tired .....

Note: The HD case containing of 4 Sata of 80 Gb, each two of them are on a USB / Firewire to Sata bridgeboard ( JBOD / SPAN / RAID 0). The new internal Sata fits in the ZIP cage ... Each HD is raised from the ground for airflow.

Yeah, great work! I'm looking forward to doing my full-case mod later this year when the Meroms are released. Looks great!

What do I need to connect a 3.5" SATA drive to the mini? Just the cable?
