Yeah i made the desk in grade 11 woodshop, it is low. And it wasn't intended for a computer at all. I just bought my mini in the past 2 weeks. I have a small stool I sit on. The middle shelf goes in so me knees do fit under. Its quite comfortable. But not the most erginomical setup, I know. As for the foam, I just thought why not. Just so I don't have to bend down too far.
