Is this Elton John's setup? How did you install the keyboard drawer under the Korg piano?

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not a composer by any stretch of the imagination--but I do like noodling around in Garage Band, and we had the piano already but had never used the MIDI hookup. I live in a relatively small Manhattan apartment, so you have to consolidate furniture when you can. The keyboard drawer came from a computer desk we got rid of--there's wood under the piano so it's just screwed on.

Great set up. The only thing i would do is to mount the mini somewhere out of sight.

Neato! I'm planning for a similar setup with a Keystation Pro88 and a Studio Display, the older graphite ones, would look and work great as a virtual synth rig running Reason or Live. The mini's very versatile and I agree hide it a bit.

Top rating for this idea, you have 100% acces to garageband with this keyboard? Great! I'd order a black skin for the mini and when time comes, a Dell widescreen!

Thanks again for the comments. I can't believe that so many people want me to hide or alter my beautiful Mini but say nothing about hiding the ugly M-Audio box or the generic FireWire enclosures Seriously, good comments all. It's a work in progress, and the speakers are the next to go. James T Kirk, the keyboard works perfectly with Garage Band.

Inspiring set up Picaman - which model of M-Audio box is that? Firewire Solo? Interested in doing same with Garageband for my guitar until I can buy ProTools and install....
