I have a JVC video camera too but can not get it to work as my webcam, any suggestions?

I sure hope those speakers are magnetically shielded.
make sure its firewire. how did you mount the camera, any photos from the back
Its just on a tripod that i adjusted to the height of the monitor. and its just a firewire cable from it into the mac mini.

you are losing alot of real estate with those speakers.

Whoa..That's one of the most ugly setup I've ever seen. A Picasso's paint would even look ugly next to those speakers

i wont knock your speakers, gotta start somewhere, right now my adcom amp is down so i am using a sony shelf system with a custom built subwoofer system of 4 18inch velodyne's and 2 crown amps, the velodyne subs were sourced from damaged models that the amp was not working....... ps... my top end does suck again untill i can get a better amp for the top end, i use optical outputs ran thru the d/a of my old sony es dat deck

You got serious overkill with those speakers

I used to have those speakers, they come as a complete set with the JVC MX-GT91R MiniSystem. They are ugly, NOT magnetically shielded, and they will not function properly without the original amp (unless you've got an active high/low pass active crossover pre-amp that is). They do sound nice when rigged correctly but they are sooooooo horribly inaccurate they would be useless for anything that involves music creation/editing. Also the subwoofer thats built in is within a bandpass enclosure which means they are useless for music over about 110Bpm - thereafter the bassline lags way behind the rest of the mix and your music sounds ugly.
