I like the looks of your display. Does the Sony display have that Xbrite technology. Is the screen shiny like the Vaio laptops?

Yes, it has the XBrite technology. It's not particularly shiny. It was adjusted way too bright out of the box, but was easy to adujust to a good level.

The LaCie drive is stowed away behind the monitor.

I have the same setup, speakers, scanner and all, but my monitor is the 19 inch!
