yea! its my apartment... on the hills of Acapulco bay, Mexico.

The speakers on either side of the tv are just sad. But the reflection in the tv of your view is just amazing! I can see the commercial now... 60 inch TV: $5000, Speakers for TV and soundsystem: $9.99, Using your MacMini on that 60" TV with a picturesque view over your shoulder: priceless.

I didn't notice the little speakers until Greg pointed them out. I don't think they look bad, just small. I also have small speakers for movies. I wanted a full range of sound without having to turn up the volume. Seems appropriate in a nice apartment like that.

greg alltough they are small the 5.1 yamaha speaker setup sounds great for what i want it for.. trust me o could of bought anything else but i like small speakers... don get in the way, specially the back ones...

Alex, could you let us know how you modified your mini settings to work with your tv? Did you use displayconfigx, if so, where did you get the correct config? Thanks!

yea i used displayconfigx... just used max res of tv from the user guide specs and configured it and worked great!!

Hey I'm gettin a mac mini for ma christmas, can ya connect a microphone that works with a pc aswell or do u have to buy a completely different microphone. o and what a screen. whoa nice veiw could we see the mac mini workin on it with the TV on

@Benjo, you need a USB (or firewire?) external soundcard _OR_ a USB microphone like Logitech makes it. Alejandro: The setup looks awesome indeed, if you replace some stuff in the future you might think of matching the colours of the equipment somewhat more (alu-colored receiver, speakers and such). Your view on the bay is priceless, must be terrifying though, when a storm is coming!

Are you using the DVI port?

couldnt u find any bigger tv?, and dan, ofcourse he isnt using the dvi port, that tv is just for show
