This is the current look of my iBook.
It's fairly basic, wallpaper, hidden dock, etc. Two things to prevent confusion though. The first is that, yes my date and time is different than the typical date and time. I just used iStat Menu to do this. It was fairly simply and yet it increases productivity. the second thing I need to point out is the lack of a Spotlight menu icon. Yes, I removed it. Why? Because on my iBook, Spotlight is dirt slow. Quicksilver is much faster. And since I only have 1024 horizontal pixels, it's best to save every bit of space I can.
