Mark's Mac mini setup
Here's a picture of my new mac mini setup. I am running the new 1.42 Mini on a 42" Plasma TV. I have the bluetooth mouse & keyboard, as well as the airport connection for my internet access & printing. I still need to run the cords through the wall, but I got it set up & wanted to send in a pic.

I hope you put the Mini on some sort of shelf or little cart. It would suck if the little guy got kicked or stepped on.

Yah, the wires will get run through the wall in the near future. I also have a temporary shelf which the mini now resides on, but I just got everything set up & wanted to send in my pic.

why the hurry to post an ugly pic? This forum is for final presentations. Send us a pic when you are done.
Mark [Aug 01, 2005 at 11:38 AM]
well, I guess I didn't feel it was all that ugly. & apparently the title of the forum is a bit deceiving "User setups" not "final user setups" I don't think I'll be sending another pic. Someone will probably complain about the wall color next time.

Ignore Greg. Nice screen and the potential for a stunning setup.

Cool. What resolution are you running?

I agree with Denial. There are all kind of setups here.... I want to see the finished product! I don't care if it's flowered wallpaper

I'm running 1024 x 768. I tried to go higher but the mini wouldn't handle it. Apple support sadi I could probably get up to 1152 (or something like that) I didn't get the whole #, but I think I'll stay with what I have. I'll post another pic once I have the wires run behind the wall.

Did you drill holes or use for the wires and paint it?
Mark [Aug 03, 2005 at 08:19 AM]
we're doing it this coming weekend (hopefully) The wall the Monitor sits on faces our bedroom, I"m going to try to run the cables through the wall into the bedroom & put the mini in there so that the only thing you see on the wall is the TV/monitor.

Don't pay any attention to the haters. Let us see the finished project. Nice equipment.

If you read Mark's description he says it's a work and progress. We look forward to the finished product.

I've never heard anyone call a 42" Plasma trash.

Extremely nice Philips, makes me proud being Dutch! Can't wait to see, when it's finished.

Get a stand for the mini. Everything else is great, except for the wall color.

alemao is just about as good as a poopy flavored lollipop
