Chris's Mac mini setup
Here's my MacMiniMediaCenter. Inspired and tweaked according to recommendations in the forum. That's the 2405fpw, my iPod, my XM radio and my crappy stereo. Great for games and movies.

How big is that monitor? I tried to check dell's website, but gave up. Nice setup. BTW, what kind of bike is that in background?

Thanks, not sure why a dell search for 2405fwp brought up nothing.
Anon [Aug 12, 2005 at 04:28 PM]
Probably because they're using Dells!

24" monitor, my girlfriend's IF Crown Jewel custom bike behind it, my bikes are elsewhere in the living room

I'm very interested in buying a dell 2405 for my Mini. Can you confirm that its graphics card can handle the load at the top resolutions? Your input could make the difference in whether I spring for the Dell.

how do you keep the ipod headphones wrapped like that?
Chris [Sep 02, 2005 at 01:39 PM]
The mini's graphics card can support full resolution for dvd's, movies (mov, avi, etc) and games, though I haven't tried anything really intense like world of warcraft. I bet you could go at max gaming resolution if you turned the detail down a bit. I would HIGHLY recommend one of these monitors to anyone.

Ha ha ha. That bicycle looks small compared to that monitor.
DjRobu [Sep 12, 2005 at 11:15 AM]
Great, it will be my next monitor for Mini

I love your desktop background. Did you take that picture? You need to straighten it though. The horizon isn't level.

yes nice setup fits the cabinet well.

Like the racing bike in the background! Nice mavic wheels. What kind of frame is it? Looks like a classic steel frame with Ultegra. Riding much these days or gaining weight in front of your screen? I know how hard it is ...

Is the bike hooked up to the Monitor, so that you can run a green operation and provide your own electricity!!!
splen [May 10, 2006 at 11:24 AM]
WOW some of you guys have huge screens! at least if your house flooded you could probably use it as a makeshift raft and float to safety on it!....... and yes, that is jealousy talking!
CcAgan [Aug 10, 2006 at 08:50 AM]
I have to comment on the Mavic wheels as well.. very nice my friend.
