Dan's Mac mini setup
Added a couple of items to my mini setup. I bought a Harmony 880 remote which is operating the mini through a Keyspan remote receiver.

can you get front row for any mac ?
Where can you get front row?
Well, did the 10.4.3 kill your Front Row?
There's actually a 20" imac on the other end of that VGA cable, behind the wall

10.4.3 doesnt kill front row, you just have to change the script app that opens it, its easy to run it on any mac

what did you pay for the harmony remote. $249.99 ?
$220 from Amazon with a coupon, still not cheap but getting rid of the remote pile is nice.

Thats a cool setup...but can you compute...you know, do some computer work like that? Or this just a fancy "media center" latest craze/fad thing you've got going?

You can file me under latest craze/fad thing Reko. I wouldn't want to spend much time on a spreadsheet ( I value my eyesight)

Cool. I like. Injoy your setup! ... waiT! Get those speakers OFF the floor! Seek stands. "Floor speakers" are for the floor.

I've looked honestly I have. I'm thinking I "need" new speakers anyway.

So........is there a way to run front row on a mini, or do you really have it running from an iMac? I am getting a mac mini and HTPC setup is my entire purpose. Thanks for any help in the right direction.

yes it works, do a google search for front row running on mac mini and you'll find all the info you need. To be honest though I don't find it all that useful, yet.

Estaetically does the little closet not match the modern gear, though it fits in the house (doors). Still I would recommend to use a modern shelfsystem of some kind and of course: put those poor little speakers on proper stands!
