Right sound quality, nice. But I'd turn them a bit to you, makes difference. My setup is similar, with floor speakers and other monitors but I've got a superb stereo soundstage...

do studio monitors plug straight into the headphone port of the mini? and shouldnt they be angled towards you for the sweet spot or something like that?
