Jareau A's Mac mini setup
|
Here is what you are looking at:
-- 7" LCD screen, connected via HDMI
-- Under that, 2TB external drive, hoping to enable a PC to wirelessly back up to it, via the Apple Network
-- Under that, 16 TB of data, 8TB storage, 8TB smart back ups
-- To the right of that, a power supply that will keep the entire system going for about 10 minutes, and protects against power surges.
-- On top of that, a web cam, that broadcasts to the internet.
-- To the right of that, the Cable Modem
-- Under that, elGato EyeTv, enables TV recording directly to the 16TB hard drive enclosure
-- To the right of that, on top, the Apple Airport Extreme
-- Under that, the hacked Mac Mini, 500GB internal storage, 4GB ram
-- Under that, a DVD Burner/Player, dedicated for ripping movies. I'll eventually upgrade that to a Blu-Ray burner/player
-- In front of that, Apple Bluetooth Track Pad. Love that thing.
-- To the left of that, Apple Bluetooth Keyboard
-- Under, your generic networked printer/scanner, copier, etc
-- In the drawer, a pencil, a sheet of paper.

Very nice equipment, but do you sit and work there or is it just like a server-type station?
