Stephen J's Mac mini setup
Hi,

Been watching your site as it has some cool stuff about Mac Mini's, and I noticed the readers boxes being mentioned. This box was designed by myself and manufactured about 9 years ago. I develop Windows software now and play with Mac's, Amiga's and Linux for fun. However, I hope to make these boxes for a living one day soon.

This box has built in gigabit networking, and a 4 way KVM+ audio switch unit so I basically run all three at the same time and share peripherals. I also have shared textual clipboard between Windows and Mac OSX. I know you can use virtual machines but as a motherboard only costs around £100 might as well have more than one PC.

I am in the process of making a newer version which is half the size which I should have in two to three months with a fully water cooled Windows, Mac Mini and Linux box. Hope to get the Mac Mini up to about 2.5ghz or higher with 4gb ram, and one terrabyte drive etc.

I use Time Machine to backup all my computer document files on all three machines.

Sorry pictures not brilliant.
