| Hi all, my mini's firewire has ceased to mount drives. It does power up/charge 3g 30gb ipod, does not mount, neither will a lacie120gb fw hd, or a wd 160gb fw hd. all were ok under 10.4.1 now nothhing mounts. Ive zapped the pram '3chimes', and safe boot no fw mounting either. tia |

Hi,
Try this:
Turn off the computer.
Unplug all USB devices except your keyboard and mouse. Unplug all firewire devices as well.
Turn on the computer.
Plug in just the firewire drive. If you are using the passthrough port on the drive to charge / synch your iPod, don't. This could be part of the problem. So when you plug in the drive, make sure nothing is daisychained to it.
If this does not work, go to Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility and see if you see the fw drive listed there. If so, click on the repair tab and try to repair it.
