H-Squared today announced the availability of its wall and shelf tvTray mounts for the Apple TV. According to the company, "The wall mount can be rotated so that your Apple TV can be aimed in almost any direction. This makes it easy to control your Apple TV using your Apple Remote since you can always orient the Apple TV's IR receiver towards the general direction of the Apple Remote's location. The shelf mount allows the Apple TV to be mounted on virtually any horizontal surface. The mount can also be secured to the underside of a shelf for placing your Apple TV in your entertainment center or in any location where you simply need to get it up out of the way but still have easy access." The tvTray mounts are made out of 1/4" (6.35mm) clear cast acrylic plastic and also feature VESA mounting holes in both 75mm and 100mm mount patterns. They are priced at $32.99.

Is the power cable going through the hole the only thing that holds the Apple TV inside the wall-mount? I'm a little confused on how it is secured. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Yup. That's it. That and the small guides that wedge into the groove along the bottom of the mount keep everything in place. The keyhole is made from 1/4" acrylic so it's thick/strong enough to hold the Apple TV in place- whether it be in a vertical or horizontal mount application. _________________ -Jh |
