I was thinking about those who upgrade the drive from their Mac mini to install a faster/bigger one. They end up with a spare 2.5" drive anyway. |

This is a bit off of topic, but I want to say thank to Mac Mini accessory manufacturers like Macessity, Cinnamon Peripherals, Hubbell... to continue to develop and introduce new products for our Mac Minis... For each new product, we all may have different opinions about, but the most important thing is that these manufacturers keep our love for the Mini alive. They must have loved this most beautiful desktop computer ever made just as much as we users do...
Again, thank you and looking forward to your next idea/product.... |

After all I'm not going to let a good hard drive go to waste by just sitting around. _________________

If you have a Belkin slim hub, keep an eye out for a mod I'm planning to do. I'll probably have it featured on 123Macmini.com even though it's a personnal project. |

I don't have a Belkin hub. I have my hub attached to my desk, well hidden from view. Then I have USB extension cables with the ports peaking around some corners.
But that mod does have me curious. I know the enclosure I got for my old drive can basically fit anywhere. It is pretty much the same size of the hard drive itself. _________________

I could be interested but I still have concerns about over heating if the Mini is hanging under a desk.
Also, it's all very well to have a USB hub at the front, but what do you do about the on/off switch? |
